Gaitou ~Antique Faux Fur Coat~ White Tsurubami Rabbit

In the 19th-century West, overcoats tailored from animal fur, known in Japanese as “gaitou,” were a widely cherished necessity throughout the cold, snowy winters.

We tailored this gaitou in soft, antique-style faux fur, keeping ornamentation to an absolute minimum so that the silhouette stays true to the atmosphere of that era.
Panels inserted at the back add volume and give a hem sweep generous enough to accommodate a bustle style, creating a simple yet feminine silhouette with a modern air.

The “Antique Faux Fur Series,” deliberately given old-fashioned names:

“White Tsurubami Rabbit,” with the look of rabbit fur dyed with tsurubami (acorns).
